Rick Charles

House. Techno. Vinyl culture. Dutch DJ & producer Rick Charles has been part of the electronic music scene since the late ‘90s. Starting out behind the decks at 15, he was already performing at Amsterdam’s legendary Club iT by the age of 17. Under the name DJ Ricky, he played events including Trance Energy, Impulz Festival and Innercity, held a residency in Málaga, released music on UK label Nukleuz and received airplay on Radio 538’s Dance Department and Dance Trends. In 2002, he adopted the name Rick Charles, embracing a deeper and more underground sound rooted in house and techno. After winning the Amsterdam TWSTD DJ Contest in 2003, he went on to perform at venues and events including Melkweg, Paradiso, Awakenings Festival (VIP Room), Radio 3FM, Pacha London, Stockholm, Brighton and the Winter Music Conference in Miami. After years away from the spotlight, Rick Charles returns with new music shaped by experience, authenticity and a lifelong passion for electronic music. Rooted in the underground. Driven by music.
